CARLETON - The Carleton Branch Library will be closed until the end of the
week because of water damage sustained over the weekend when the furnace
malfunctioned and pipes burst, causing minor flooding.

Most damage occurred to the network of cables that support all of the
computer functions in the library, officials said. Two computers, the sound
system and a few books in the children's room also were damaged.

All meetings scheduled for the community room will be relocated or
rescheduled.

Library users are urged to return their materials to the drop box located in
the front of the library.
