Please consider this story for your list serve. The web site of the
Hellenic Society for Law and Archaeology reported on the replacement of
Greece's Secretary General of the Ministry of Culture after the prior
minister attempted suicide:

This tragic story has some relevance to the cultural property debate
given the moralistic tone Greece has taken to justify its repatriation
efforts:

Mr. Theodoris Dravillas was appointed on 07.01.07 the new Secretary
General of the Ministry of Culture.

Mr. Dravillas, born in Athens 1968, has a degree in electrical
engineering. In 2005 he became the vice chairman of the National
Telecommunications and Postal Commission. The new Secretary General
start his duties in a difficult period for the Ministry. Serious (though
conflicting) allegations of official misconduct opened his predecessor
to attempted blackmail. Dimitris Zachopoulos was forced to resign and
then attempted suicide (he remains hospitalized in critical condition).
Greek magistrates are investigating lurid charges that include rigging
in Culture Ministry competitions, improper outside pressure for
declassification of protected archaeological sites, and preferential
hiring based on sexual favors.
