Have you seen Elvis? That's what Washington County authorities are asking
West Lakeland Township residents this week after a $15,000 painting of the
singing legend by the late artist Fucci was stolen last week.

Fucci is the nom de plume of Peter Bue, a well-known Twin Cities artist and
muralist who died in 2005.

The Elvis painting had been left at the end of a driveway in the 13000 block
of 30th Street North to mark the owner's home, said Sgt. Andrew Ellickson of
the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

"The individual was having a client meeting, and he put the painting outside
to show people where he lives," Ellickson said. "It's kind of a fun thing
because they know that he's an Elvis fan."

The painting was stolen sometime between 8:30 and 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call 651-439-9381;
callers may remain anonymous.
