Flood-damaged museum reopening in Chehalis

CHEHALIS, Wash. -- Nearly five months after the flood, the Veterans Memorial
Museum in Chehalis reopens Saturday.
Executive Director Lee Grimes say hundred of volunteers put in 10,000 hours
of tedious and intricate work cleaning and restoring artifacts.
He say the volunteers were able to preserve 98 percent of the contents and
only a few documents and photos could not be saved.
The Chehalis River flooding in early December sent water in museum's
displays.
