Reward offered for stolen painting

GLASGOW - The recent theft of a painting from a log cabin owned by Helland
Insurance Agency of Glasgowhas prompted Crimestoppers to offer a reward of
up to $1,000 for information leading to its return, according to Bruce
Barstad of the Glasgow Police Department.
The oil painting of Chief Medicine Crow belonging to Mary Helland was taken
early in the evening of Sept. 1 by three males and one female, in their
teens to early 20s, witnesses said, according to the Glasgow Courier.
   
The 5-foot by 4-foot painting was done by Roundup artist Joe Trakimas from a
1880s photograph taken of the Crow chief when he visited Washington, D.C. 

Anonymous tips are being accepted by Glasgow Crimestoppers at 406-228-2226,
or Glasgow law enforcement at 228-4333.
