Swiss officials have announced the theft of a fossilized dinosaur footprint
from an archaeology team in Switzerland's Jura Mountains. 

According to AP, a stone slab containing the three-toed dinosaur footprint
was lifted from the dig despite weighing several hundred kilograms. 

Swiss daily Quotidien Jurassien has stated that the print could fetch tens
of thousands of Swiss dollars on the black market. 

However, the head of the team said that the thieves would have a hard time
selling the print as the object could be easily identified. 

The print was part of a larger collection of dinosaur traces being examined
at the site.
