Antique Crock Stolen From Oyster Bay, N.Y. Museum

Missing is this two-gallon, Brown Brothers, Huntington, L.I., crock, beige
with blue slip decoration with the letters "C & H" and four semisymmetrical
flowers, approximately 10 inches in diameter, 9 inches high. There is a
number "2" stamped on the front of the crock between the top two flowers.
Oyster Bay, N.Y.:The Nassau County Police Department is investigating a
petty larceny reported by the Raynham Hall Museum, an historic house museum
owned and occupied by the Townsend family during the colonial and Victorian
time periods.

The museum is missing a piece of earthenware, a Brown Brother's crock.
Bearing a Brown Brothers Huntington, L.I. stamp, the two-gallon crock
measuring about 10 inches in diameter and 9 inches high is beige with blue
slip decoration with the letters "C & H" and four semisymmetrical (two on
top/two on bottom) flowers sprouting from one stem. There is a number "2"
stamped on the front of the crock between the top two flowers.
