Dear Friend,
 
I am writing to invite you to become a participant, contributor, and  critic
to my very new weblog: HEIRS ­ Observations on Provenance.

Over the last several years, I have been researching, writing and advocating
in Canada about a variety of aspects related to the art stolen by the Nazis
during the Holocaust. Some of you have served as willing mentors and
resource persons in my initial  activity. Some are claimants having
benefited from my efforts as well. I have created this weblog with the
intent of promoting an "open forum² to feature and discuss the entire
spectrum of issues dealing with the subject.
 
With the timely opening of the documentary film, The Rape of Europa, whih I
review on my blog today, I believe this weblog initiative will become
essential to the ongoing discussion. I am hopeful that concerned and
committed museum and cultural arts professionals  will  add to and be a part
of this venture.
 
Ultimately, in furthering my work through this blog, I am determined to shed
light onto the dark places of the pastŠ and the present. And I look forward
to you sharing your expertise in order to becoming part of that
illumination.
