Pictures stolen from antiques shop

Paintings valued at nearly £8,000 were stolen from an antiques shop in
Long Melford.
The two framed oil paintings were taken from Long Melford Antiques
Centre, in Little St Mary's, at around 2.45am on Saturday, April 28.

The store was broken into via the roof and even though the burglars
triggered the alarm, they still made off with the pictures.

The paintings are a pair, measuring 94x77cm (landscape) and are of
battle scenes. They are very dark, possibly by a Russian artist and are
in two-inch black wooden slightly patterned frames.

Anyone with information should contact Pc Niall Johnson at Sudbury
Police Station on 01473 613500 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
