Cincinnati police still haven't figured out who took a copper sculpture at
Spring Grove Cemetery on Spring Grove Avenue.

But they are saying today the piece of art is worth about $14,000.

The sculpture was discovered missing Thursday from the cemetery's garden
courtyard. "Copper Copse" consisted of five trees sculpted out of copper.

Four of the copper trees - each about 1½ feet high and 2 feet wide - were
sawed from their concrete bases.

Police alerted scrap yard dealers to watch for the unique copper pieces.

Police believe the theft is part of a rash of recent copper thefts in the
area as prices for scrap copper have been on the rise.
