There has been yet another art theft in Auckland.

This time a bronze sculpture of a Weta from the courtyard of the Epsom
Community Library.

The much-loved artwork by sculptor John Campbell is about 70 centimetres
long and was attached to a pillar.

Library spokeswoman Kay Forrester says the theft was carefully planned as
the sculpture would have been hard to remove.

She says it has upset the community of Epsom and she wants the thieves to
return it - no questions will be asked.
