[MSN] Valuing Ethnographic Objects

Dear colleagues,

I am assisting a newly formed Community Museum in a rural area of  
Western Kenya. They have received some donor funding for development,  
and one of the requirements for them to fulfil is to provide a value  
to their small ethnographic collection.

Would anyone out there know if there is a 'system' used to value  
ethnographic collections, some of which may have more cultural than  
actual monetary value.
