Subject: Machu Picchu again under threat

Dear Friends,
The building of the Carrilluchayoc bridge within the protected area of
Machu Picchu is again threatening the authenticity of this Historical
Santuary of Humanity, as you can verify it in the Peruvian Press, thru
Internet. Since this an aftermath of the cable car project of the late
1990s, I sent you some historical information in regard the train service
Cuzco/Machu Picchu than -even though it is in Spanish- you might find it
useful to understand what is going on in this Inca llacta or citadel as it
was renamed by Hiram Bingham. Please, use this information freely, Thank
you, Mariana Mould de Pease
