Paintings worth $30,000 stolen in Webster

(November 1, 2006) - Three paintings by Ramon Santiago, worth a total of
about $30,000, were stolen from a framing shop about 10:15 this morning.

The culprit stepped into McCoy's Custom Picture Framing, 103 North Ave.,
grabbed the paintings, and fled on foot, said Webster Police Lt. Joe Rieger.

He said a canine unit tracked the suspect to a spot near Kircher Park, about
five blocks away.

An investigation is ongoing.
