About $12,000 worth of antique glass and miscellaneous antiques belonging to
the Historical Glass Museum was stolen from a locked Redlands storage unit,
museum officials reported.

The items included many one-of-a-kind and irreplaceable pieces. Other glass
pieces and antiques were to be sold to the public.

The theft will result in thousands of dollars in lost revenue, which was to
pay for restoration of a future museum property slated to become the Museum
of Contemporary American Glass, museum officials said.
