      Four pieces stolen from Hermitage returned

ST. PETERSBURG. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Four museum pieces stolen from the 
Hermitage in St. Petersburg have been anonymously returned, St. 
Petersburg's police department told Interfax.

An anonymous caller phoned the police division dealing with antiques and 
said that several items stolen from the Hermitage were lying at the doors.

The police discovered four pieces from a silver service: a teapot, 
coffeepot, creamer and sugar bowl - numbers 43-46 on the list of stolen 
pieces.

The approximate value of each of the items is about $12,000.
