Desaparecen 30 grabados de Goya de de la Galería Nacional de Finlandia 
en Helsinki

Una treintena de grabados del pintor español Francisco de Goya ha 
desaparecido de los almacenes de la Galería Nacional de Finlandia en 
Helsinki, según informaron ayer los responsables del museo. Los 
responsables del museo no saben si las obras, que pertenecen a ''Los 
desastres de la guerra'' están en "algún lugar" de sus almacenes
De momento se desconoce si las obras de Goya han sido robadas o si 
simplemente fueron almacenadas en algún lugar desconocido durante las 
últimas obras de rehabilitación del museo.

La desaparición de los grabados se constató tras realizarse un 
inventario de las 19.000 obras que componen la colección de dibujos y 
gráficos de la Galería Nacional.

La última noticia que se tiene de las obras de arte desaparecidas data 
de 1980, cuando fueron cedidas a un museo islandés para una exposición 
sobre el artista español.

Los 30 grabados al aguafuerte pertenecen a la serie "Los desastres de la 
guerra", que el pintor aragonés realizó entre 1810 y 1814.

La Galería Nacional de Finlandia posee 80 de los 82 grabados que 
componen la serie, desde que fueran donados por un coleccionista privado 
en 1901.

Encontrarlos en algún lugar

La directora de la Galería Nacional de Finlandia, Tuula Arkio, confía en 
encontrar "en algún lugar" los 30 grabados. En declaraciones al diario 
''Helsingin Sanomat'', la responsable del principal museo de arte de 
Helsinki admitió "estar preocupada" por el paradero de los grabados de Goya.

No obstante, señaló que aún es posible localizarlos porque todavía no se 
ha terminado el inventario de las 19.000 obras almacenadas. "Cuando las 
obras de arte se colocan en el lugar equivocado, luego no es fácil 
encontrarlas", señaló Arkio. "Por desgracia, esto pasa en todos los 
grandes museos del mundo", añadió.

Según fuentes del museo, estos grabados fueron elaborados después de la 
muerte de Goya a partir de los originales y no son de la mejor calidad, 
por lo que los expertos calculan que cada obra tiene un valor de entre 
500 y 600 euros.

Algunas de las obras desaparecidas fueron expuestas por última vez en 
Islandia en 1980, y después se almacenaron en la Galería Nacional.

"Si las obras han desaparecido realmente, va a ser difícil aclarar qué 
les ha pasado y cuándo, porque ya han transcurrido 25 años", declaró la 
directora del museo.
