Hi Ton, 
 
       I just wanted to tell you that I am very, VERY grateful for your
comments on Thomas Hoving's idiotic remarks. A lot of institutions- Getty,
Met, etc., think they can cut their losses and give back only half their
'loot' to the Italians. The arrogant, wealthy people in both the US and the
UK-  Isabella Stewart  Gardner, Cesnola, Berenson,..., all thought Italia
was a playland that they could have their way with. Now its payday!  I had
the honor of meeting the people who headed  the True/Hecht/Medici
investigation and have a true belief that they ARE steadfast! I am confident
that Italy will get back every object and True might even see jail time!
Then they should knock on the doors of all the other US museums.
    Its time that people who are passionate about art, not Swiss bank
acounts, start safegaurding America's collections.
    Thanks again. Keep up the great work.
