Sivaganga: A group on Saturday murdered a watchman of a temple and looted
Rs.40000 worth of cash and silver ornaments. 

Sources said Karuppiah (55) watchman of Arulmozhi Nathar Temple at Solapuram
near here was fast sleep on Saturday night when the gang attacked him to
death and threw the body in a well. Then the gang took away three kg of
silver ornaments and Rs.7000 in cash.
