Stolen History Tour with Roger Atwood:

Roger Atwood, author of Stealing History and expert on the antiquities trade, recently led four sold-out tours at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City and the Boston Fine Arts Museum. In support of the recent series of signings and readings for his book Stealing History, Roger Atwood will lead a tour of archaeological artifacts of dubious provenance in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, particularly artifacts he talks about in the book. Some of them are very well-known (the Weary Herakles), others less known or not well-known at all. Tours last about 90 minutes. These limited access, intimate tours offer much more than a traditional museum tour, by carefully and thoughtfully highlighting artifacts and art which show signs of having been looted. The goal of SAFE tours is to produce a more educated museum patron.

Next Boston tour is: Sunday April 10, 10:30 am, Boston Museum of Fine Arts

We look forward to seeing you at the Boston MFA, April 10th. Please email for availability and to book reservations: tours at savingantiquities.org.
