If you are interested in removing one of the biggest incentives to loot in
order to feed the enormous US market for Chinese antiquities, join us and
let your voice be heard.
To send in your online petition to help China protect its cultural heritage:
http://www.savingantiquities.org/i-safe-alert.htm
If you haven't done so, SEND IN YOUR PETITION TODAY. We are submitting
another batch of petitions to the State Dept by MARCH 20.
If you already signed, thank you. And please help SAFE's effort by
circulating this as far and wide as possible. Send this to EVERYONE. This is
not just China's problem; it is everyone's problem.
Saving Antiquities for Everyone (www.savingantiquities.org), is a nonprofit
group dedicated to raising public awareness through educational programs and
media campaigns that stimulate public consciousness regarding the importance
of preserving cultural heritage worldwide. We focus on the destruction of
archaeological sites, historical sites and the channeling of cultural
artifacts through the illicit antiquities trade. Founded in response to the
ransacking of the National Museum of Iraq in Baghdad, our effort is now
global. SAFE has no political affiliations.
