Man charged in book theft, resale

NORTHFIELD, Vt. (AP) - A Johnson man has been arrested for stealing hundreds
of books from college libraries and bookstores and selling them on the
Internet.

Rory Matthews, 23, is facing grand larceny charges.

According to police, Matthews has admitted taking books from Norwich
University after midnight on Feb. 16. He allegedly told police he sold the
books on the Internet to Amazon.com.

Police said they discovered more than 200 books had been sold on the
Internet and 98 books were still advertised on Matthews' Web site.
