El templo La Balbanera continúa desprotegido

A una semana del robo de la escultura del arcángel San Miguel, de la 
iglesia La Balbanera, ninguna organización ha propuesto un plan de 
protección.
La iglesia de La Balbanera fue construida en 1534 en el cantón Colta. 
Los miembros del Consejo de Pastoral de ese cantón, esperan las acciones 
de la Municipalidad local, del Ministerio de Turismo y de la Fiscalía de 
Chimborazo.

El Instituto Nacional de Patrimonio Cultural informó que se investiga la 
desaparición. Actualmente, en la iglesia La Balbanera se encuentran dos 
estatuas. Una de la Virgen Natividad en el altar principal, protegida 
por una urna de vidrio. Y la imagen de Santa Rita, la cual motiva 
procesiones.
