Thieves stole an oak lectern valued at $7000, a $2000 table and a Canon's
oak chair, also valued at $2000. All items were more than 100 years old.
Also stolen from the inner north church was a mahogany pedestal valued at
$1200.
Yesterday, a brass lectern of undisclosed value was stolen from St
Theodore's Church in Toorak Gardens in the eastern suburbs.
Police said that theft happened between 10am and 3pm (CST) yesterday.
