The purpose of this web portal is to promote: 
                 "an awareness of the underworld activity in the arena of
art"

Dirty business in an art world ridden with corruption, we a targeting
artists and artworld habitues, who in many cases, don't relate well to
street cops or detectives (which goes both ways; how many cops do you see at
the gallery openings in Chelsea??), and will attempt to keep it creative and
full of visual reference. 

I frequently visit numerous websites that are dedicated to art crime, and
feel, while suffice for law enforcement, most are very dry and don't provide
any visual stimulation for professional artists.

While the main material will be regarding stolen art and illicit antiquities
trade, all other areas of art crimes will be discussed, such as dealer
fraud, fakes, forgeries, and vandalism, to name just a few. We will also be
dedicating a section to forensic art, as well as artists sharing their
feelings on street cops and law enforcement.

Please keep an eye on our "Roll Call" page, where updates on the NY
Artworld, and art crimes will be made. Intelligent contributions to the roll
