In today's mailing the 'Artnose' editor asked  me to make it 
'categorically clear whether the list is a legitimate space for 
comment and opinion (......), or strictly limited to news and factual 
posting".

My opinion is that this list would become VERY boring and just a news 
clipping service if personal opinions would not be allowed. Opinions, 
everybody's opinions, are most welcome as long as they relate to the 
list's subject matter: the protection of cultural property.
