No, it is a human glitch. Anyone who wants to unsubscribe from this list can
do so themselves, automatically, at any time, by sending an e-mail to the
address:

unsubscribe at cpprot.net

Leave a blank subject line, and leave the message area blank as well.

What people are doing instead is sending their request in plain language to
the list itself at its address, list at cpprot.net.  This causes their request
to be forwarded to all members of the list.
