I agree with your comments!
This list is a great tool to see views from around the world! One thing I
think we can all agree upon is that the theft and destruction of these
important artifacts does a disservice to all who live today, and especially
those who will live in the future!
We can't go running away when we hear something we don't like. We can,
however, have an educated debate and make progress towards understanding
both sides. One suggestion to those who don't like hearing others views is
to look down at the keyboard in front of you and hit delete... Read what
you want, and delete what you want! That is what makes email so nice!
But there is one think I don't like reading, people whining that they don't
like the list and they want out. If so follow the instructions and email
unsubscribe at cpprot.net it will keep my inbox free for an intelligent flow of
ideas still to come!
So, to all you free speech lovers out there, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Writing from New Zealand,
I agree with the "see all views" approach. My security work in the Museum
involves understanding and listening to a great cross-section of people and
views. In New Zealand we receive and provide varying views on both ours and
other countries. I like that approach - some people don't have that human
right.
If I don't like the information (for whatever reason) I may choose to not
read it, or even discard it. Newspaper articles regularly contain
information, pictures, stories, low value articles that I do not agree
with - but the Newspaper is a grand source of information and writings - one
that most of us cannot do without - regardless of the nature of the views I
will continue to read newspapers. I will treat this site the same way - I
just hope that there isn't a huge volume of that same view though.
